Peter Mandeno is a Doctoral Researcher whose specific research interest is human connectivity. Peter is developing tools that support researchers and practitioners in delivering improved human connectivity outcomes. Prior to joining Imperial, Peter's career spanned two decades and five countries. He is a graduate of the THNK school for creative leadership and is a fellow of the RSA.

Michelle is a first-year PhD student working with Dr. Weston Baxter. She grew up in St. Louis, MO and graduated from Boston University with a BA in Neuroscience and an MPS in Design from Carnegie Mellon University. Her research focuses on psychological ownership and health and how it affects patient activation during transitional periods of life.

Clarissa is a Research Assistant at the Institute of Global Health Innovation and student on the MSc Healthcare and Design at Imperial College London. Clarissa’s work in the Foundry is focussed on co-designing solutions to address mental healthcare inequalities in the Black community using the psychological ownership framework. .

Aideen is a Physiotherapist in the NHS and a student on the Healthcare and Design MSc. Her work focuses on health-related behaviour change. Her current research project is exploring the experience of physical activity for people with musculoskeletal pain. She is using the Behaviour Centred Design methodology to build a theory for behaviour change and design solutions to help this population engage in physical activity.

Nacho is currently partaking in an MA in Big Data in Culture & Society at King's College. He will later pursue a PhD in psychological data ownership focused on service innovation. He graduated from IED Barcelona with a BA in Industrial Design, as well as from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London with a double Master's degree in Innovation Design Engineering.

Ed is a design engineer focusing on sustainable technologies in agricultural/fashion supply chains. To ensure contextually appropriate design solutions he prefers to work in the field, not behind a desk. His research has focused on the development of a low-cost handwashing solution in Tanzania and the development of Setting Driven Design. He is the co-founder of hydroCotton.

Saym is a fourth-year MEng Design Engineering student at Imperial College London. He is interested in the relationship between design, politics, and society and how they affect each other. Currently, he is completing his Master’s project where he is using speculative design tools to understand how future design engineers can minimise social inequality and understand the socio-political consequences of their work from the beginning of the design process.

Enni-Kukka Tuomala is a Finnish empathy designer and artist based in London. Her practice is focused on transforming empathy from an individual feeling to a collective and radical power for social change through installations, environments, tools and processes.

Dr. Eleanor Ratcliffe is a Lecturer in Environmental Psychology at University of Surrey. Her work focuses on links between environment and wellbeing, especially experiences of nature and important places in one’s life. She also examines links between design and wellbeing, including positive sensory experiences and everyday rituals with goods and services.
